According to China Taiwan Economic Daily, TSMC’s new 1nm plant has already been determined to settle in the Zhuke Longtan Park. Wang Yongzhuang, the relevant person in charge of the park, revealed in an interview on the 15th that the pilot plan for the third phase expansion of the Zhuke Longtan Park has been submitted. If all goes well, The target is to be available for manufacturers to start building factories in mid-2026.
The industry believes that this means that TSMC's 1nm factory can start groundbreaking in mid-2026 at the earliest, trial production in 2027 at the earliest, and mass production in 2028 at the earliest. By then, the most advanced process in TSMC's overseas factories should still be 3nm.
